I have to agree. All of my family is in the military, and recently my brother was shot and the head and is currently residing in a camp hospital in Afghanistan. This hits me particularly hard, because if I had seen that NO SECURITY TEAM would be able to get me off of her from trying to either scream in her face or slap her. That basically spits in my brother’s face of the sacrifices he has made as well as others. You wouldn’t dare laugh at a funeral so don’t do it at a memorial ceremony.

may i play devils advocate?  we don’t know WHAT she was laughing about.  and everyone displays emotions differently.  i’ve laughed so hard i’ve cried at funerals.  for example…your reaction is to get very angry at her laughing, while someone else might just be more withdrawn and sad that kate SEEMED to be offending the memory of service men and women. BTW before anyone jumps down my throat…i’ve had several family members and close family friends who have served my country, and for those that were still around to hear it, i thanked them on veteran’s day, and every other day i get the chance.
