fuck people who don’t understand that piracy is not stealing. pirating on the internet is downloading a copy of the original. when i downloaded s club 7’s two in a million, i did not TAKE ownership of the song. i took a copy. i didn’t sell my copy, i didn’t claim it as my own.
the money that the RIAA and MPAA are after is lost revenue. they claim that sites like megaupload have lost them $500 million. so using the same logic that they have, when i saw the tale of benjamin button in the theater, and then told 4 of my friends that it was so bad i could have choked a baby, i owe the MPAA $40 in lost revenue. does that make sense? i’m tired and being fueled by rage.
that’s what i hate about america. the whole idea of this country was that people can change what they don’t like about it. in theory, i call my senator/representative, and tell them my opinion, and they vote for me. but the sheeple of america have let institutions like the RIAA and MPAA chose their votes.
anonymous’ attacks and the internet blackout are ways of changing the current climate on the internet. i studied my constitution, i know my rights and when they’re being threatened…do you?
